The true cost of a cheap job
In recent years there seems to have been an interest for general painters to turn to painting kitchens and now, more so, it seems homeowners themselves… social media has had a lot to play here. The number of posts and reels that promote how simple it is to “paint a kitchen with a sponge”, “no need to sand”, “it only took a weekend” and “you’ll be amazed when you see, one coat”, no wonder people think that it can’t be that difficult.
Your kitchen is, without doubt, one of the most expensive items that you will purchase in your life. It’s up there with cars and once-in-a-lifetime holidays. So, when it comes to renovating or repainting it, choosing the right professional matters. Whilst it may be tempting to commission a less experienced, “cheaper” painter, what is the true cost going to be in the long run?
With 25 years of experience as a Hand Painted Kitchen Specialist, painting over 500 kitchens. I’ve painted every type of kitchen that you could imagine, I know what it takes to create an exemplary paint finish and I do that day-in, day-out.
It has taken years to hone my process, to find the best products and materials and tweak my techniques to produce an exquisite, brush-produced, finish. I even designed and developed a whole range of paintbrushes to answer my needs.
A specialist kitchen painter requires a specific skill set – we are meticulous, detail-oriented beasts always obsessing about the pursuit of excellence. If you employ a general painter and decorator to paint your kitchen, it does not mean that they are a specialist, and this can lead to inaccuracies and poor project decisions.
A less experienced painter may well lack this fastidious approach and knowledge base, which will inevitably result in a less-than-perfect finish with and longevity issues. I work closely with my clients to ensure that the colour, style, and finish exactly match the vision that you (and I) have for your kitchen. Lack of experience may mean that the painter doesn’t communicate with their clients, as they themselves don’t understand the true process and what is required.
As part of my offering, I also offer a colour consultancy service; I have a master’s degree in a design-related subject, so feel very confident helping my clients choose a colour scheme or palette that best suits what they are looking for with their kitchen project. At the other end of the project, long after it has been completed, I also offer a full maintenance package, where I will return and remedy any areas that require refreshing or renewing; I am always contactable to offer aftercare advice and help.
Commissioning a Hand Painted kitchen project isn’t something that clients undertake often, so I offer help and support throughout the project. I am transparent about my whole process and will answer queries and questions at any stage of the project. I wholeheartedly understand the sequences and communicate with clients to give them peace of mind.
Treat your kitchen to the best possible hand painted finish, trust in an experienced, specialist, kitchen painter. It will be money well spent, completely transforming the heart of your home.
