Hand Painted Kitchen Bringsty Common, Herefordshire

This Hand Painted kitchen project was quite a upgrade; from 15+ years old oak to a hand painted beauty! I like to term it an “Oak to Bespoke” project.

As you can see from the “Before” photographs below, this kitchen in Bringsty Common, Herefordshire was suffering from tired orange oak syndrome.

I was contacted by (my now) client to see if I would be interested in producing a quotation to complete the project – apparently, they received another quotation from a spray company – which was cheaper than mine, but they were looking for a superior hand painted finish and decided to comission me.

I assisted with paint colour selection; the brief was to brighten the space, to make it fresher and more in keeping with their cottage style. My client was extremely keen on a white kitchen – I made some suggestions, and we agreed up Farrow & Ball’s “Stock”.

The results of my labour are truly transformative. The kitchen now is bright, inviting and looks like they now have tens of thousands of pounds worth of bespoke kitchen.

Thank you to my fabulous clients for trusting me and my processes. It was a joy to work in such a gorgeous property in an incredible location.

Customer Review

Martin is truly a craftsman dedicated to using cutting edge tools and products to achieve a beautiful finish that will stand the test of time. As a keen DIY’er, with experience of painting furniture (and the heartbreak of watching it chip), I knew enough to know that painting a kitchen is a job for an expert, with access to professional paint. I’m so glad I found Martin. I admit that I was impressed by his list of high profile, international clients, and feared I wouldn’t be able to afford him. So I was blown away when his quote was more than reasonable and I felt offered great value for money. Having my kitchen painted has cost me 80% less than the cost of replacing it, and I couldn’t be more delighted by the transformation. What was a dark, claustrophobic cave, is now a light and airy haven. If you are considering having your kitchen painted, talk to Martin.
